Ravens vs Cardinals NFL MNF Week 7 Pick

Both the Ravens and Cardinals have been in a Super Bowl in the past several years, but at this point in the NFL season, only Arizona would appear to have a realistic shot at playing in Super Bowl 50. Baltimore needs an upset win in the Ravens-Cardinals game to put itself back in position to make a run at a playoff berth over the NFLs second half.

ESPN will televise the Week 7 MNF Ravens-Cardinals game from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Monday.

Arizona is off to a strong start in 2015, seeking what would be the franchises second Super Bowl berth. Arizona lost to Pittsburgh, 27-23, in Super Bowl XLIII. Baltimore reached Super Bowl XLVII, defeating San Francisco, 34-31.

It doesnt appear Baltimore will be making a return appearance to the Super Bowl this season, although a win in the Ravens-Cardinals game could spark a second-half surge from Baltimore. The Ravens dropped to 1-5 after last Sundays 25-20 loss at San Francisco, which was only the second win of the season for the 49ers.

The Ravens-Cardinals game will end a rough stretch for Baltimore, which will have played five of its first seven games on the road with no bye. The Ravens odd schedule then will continue, as they will not play a road game again until Week 12s contest at Cleveland on Nov. 30. Unfortunately for the Ravens, their performances at home have not been good early on, losing divisional games to Cincinnati and Cleveland.

Arizona has fallen on a rough patch entering the Ravens-Cardinals game as well. Although Arizona will still have a 1-1/2 game lead in the AFC West entering Week 7, Arizona has lost two of its last three games, falling 24-22 at home against St. Louis in Week 4 and 25-13 at Pittsburgh last Sunday, despite Carson Palmer throwing for a season-high 421 yards in the loss. Palmers previous season high in passing yardage came in the loss to St. Louis at 352 yards. The Cardinals have won twice when Palmer hasnt reached 200 yards throwing.

Some NFL experts are questioning the strength of Arizona, just based on its schedule to this point. The Cardinals four wins have come against teams with a combined record of 7-17 in Detroit, New Orleans, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Baltimore leads the all-time Ravens-Cardinals series, 4-1. The Ravens won the last time these two played in Arizona, 26-18, in 2003.
