Giants vs Eagles MNF NFL Week 6 Pick & Score Prediction

In the extremely tight NFC East Division, divisional games – even those played in mid-October – are probably going to play a key role in determining the divisional winner in December, which means the winner of the Week 6 Monday Night Football Giants-Eagles game likely will receive dividends down the road.

ESPN will televise the Giants and Eagles at 8:30 p.m. Eastern from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. And with the Eagles already having lost two divisional games, Philadelphia will be desperate for a victory in the Giants-Eagles game.

Philadelphias offense was expected to be a high-powered unit after the off-season acquisitions of quarterback San Bradford and running back DeMarco Murray, but the Eagles offense sputtered through the first four weeks of the NFL season, ranking 29th in total offense and 23rd in scoring offense. But Philadelphia may have found its offensive rhythm before the Giants-Eagles game, having defeated New Orleans, 39-17, in Week 5, as Bradford threw for 333 yards and Murray rushed for 83 yards.

Entering the MNF Giants-Eagles game, New York has a one-game lead in the East Division at 3-2. Philadelphia, Dallas, and Washington are each at 2-3. The Eagles have already lost to Dallas, 20-10, and Washington, 23-20, so a win in the Giants-Eagles game is almost a must. In such a tight divisional race, teams dont want to be on the wrong side of the tie-breakers.

For most of the Week 5 Sunday Night Football game, it appeared New York would also be carrying a 2-3 record into the Giants-Eagles game, as New York and San Francisco traded the lead most of the game. But quarterback Eli Manning recorded the 27th fourth-quarter comeback of his career, finishing a 441-yard passing performance against the 49ers with a 12-yard TD pass with 21 seconds to play to lift the Giants to a 30-27 win.

Star New York wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a hamstring injury during the SNF game against San Francisco, causing him to miss a few series. But Beckham returned to the field for New Yorks final drive, increasing the chances hell be able to play in the Giants-Eagles game.

New York leads the all-time Giants-Eagles series, which dates back to 1933, by a margin of 83-77-2. Philadelphia swept the Giants-Eagles games last season, winning at home, 27-0, and winning at New York, 34-26. The Eagles have dominated this series in the past several years, winning 11 of the past 14.
