Arizona's coaches hope their team has a short memory heading into the Cardinals-49ers game Sunday, because if their players are still thinking about their 40-point win against the 49ers from earlier in the season, they could struggle against a San Francisco team that has been significantly better at home this season than on the road.

FOX will have the regional broadcast of the Cardinals-49ers game Sunday at 4:05 p.m. Eastern from Levi's Stadium in the Bay Area.

San Francisco is 0-5 on the road this season, including margins of defeat of 40, 25, and 21 points. But at home, the 49ers have been much more competitive, going 3-2 while allowing only 76 points. In its five road games, San Francisco has allowed 176 points.

Quarterback Blaine Gabbert will make his third start of the season in the Cardinals-49ers game, as Colin Kaepernick is out for the remainder of the season with injury. San Francisco was 2-6 in Kaepernick's starts, but they won their first game under Gabbert in Week 9, 17-16 at home against Atlanta. The second start for Gabbert didn't go quite as well at Seattle in a 29-13 loss for the 49ers. For the season Gabbert is 37 of 59 passing for 449 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

San Francisco leads the all-time Cardinals-49ers series, 29-19, but Arizona has won two of the last three games in the series, including the aforementioned 47-7 blowout win at home in late September. Chris Johnson rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns in Arizona's blowout win, and quarterback Carson Palmer added 311 yards and two scores through the air. San Francisco mustered only 156 total yards in the first Cardinals-49ers meeting.

Arizona should carry plenty of momentum into the Cardinals-49ers game, as it picked up its fourth consecutive win last Sunday, 34-31 against Cincinnati. The Cardinals survived a 17-point fourth-quarter comeback from Cincinnati by making a field goal with 6 seconds remaining to account for the winning points. Arizona moved to 8-2 with the win, giving it a 3-game lead in the NFC West Division. The Cardinals now have the second best record in the NFC behind 10-0 Carolina.

Even though Arizona has a multiple game lead in the NFC West Division, it isn't a lock for the playoffs just yet, as the Cardinals-49ers game may be the easiest game remaining on the Arizona schedule. Arizona will host NFC playoff contenders Minnesota, Green Bay, and Seattle down the stretch, while also making road trips to St. Louis and Philadelphia.
