Georgia - The Bulldogs go into the season as the #1 college football team in the country but as usual they have a very tough schedule vs the likes of S.Carolina, LSU and Auburn in conference and out of conference at Arizona State on the road. Their biggest game of the year will be versus the Florida Gators on a neutral site who they beat last year. The good news is they have running back Knowshon Moreno and QB Matthew Stafford back from a team that averaged 38 points the final 6 games of the season.

South Carolina - The Gamecocks started last season at 6-1 and ended it with a 5 game losing streak. They have a lot of talent but a new starting quarterback and running back it will not be easy to have a winning season with a SEC schedule.

Florida - Not much has changed on the Gators team team from 2007, Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin are stars who can not be stopped. If 1 of them gets injured it could be a very disappointing year for them.

Tennessee - The good news for the Vols is 8 returning starters are back on offense including RB Arian Foster and a weak 2nd half the the season. The bad news is QB Erik Ainge has to be replaced. The Vols definitely have the personnel to move high in the national rankings but not all talented teams can win each week in the SEC.

Vanderbilt - There are not many reasons to believe the Commodores will snap its 25 year bowl game drought. If Vanderbilt wins 5 games in a rebuilding season it will considered a successful year.

Kentucky - The Wildcats offense has to replace a lot of firepower with the loss of their star QB from last season, maybe with a little luck they could win 6 games and get to a bowl game.

LSU - It's too early to know what the loss of QB Ryan Perrilloux will be for the Tigers. They do have many future NFL players still on their program on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. It's going to be a test each week for defending National Champs.

Arkansas - Everyone in Hog nation is excited about the coaching change however the reality is a lot of last year's players left for the NFL and the returning players have to pick up new schemes. On top of that they have a road visit in Texas vs the Longhorns.

Alabama - The Tide have returning starting QB John Parker Wilson back. They also have a front 7 on defense that stop the run (28 ranked last year). Alabama also lost 6 games in 2007 by less then a touchdown. Nick Saban in his 2nd year does have some excellent pieces for the '08 campaign and is our college football sleeper pick in the South Eastern Conference.

Auburn - A favorable SEC schedule with the tough opponents at home should make for a 9 win season. The key game of the year will be versus LSU on September 20th in Auburn.

Mississippi State - After an 8 win season their is a lot of expectations for the Bulldogs in '08. The defense will still be the strong point for the Bulldogs but they will struggle on the offensive side of the ball.

Mississippi - It's a fresh start for the Rebels with new head coach Nutt and quarterback Jevan Snead plus a defense that returns most of its main starters. It is not likely they will reach a bowl game for the 1st time since 2003.

Weekly SEC free picks: Alabama vs Clemson in Atlanta - Tennessee vs UCLA - Miami vs Florida - Arkansas vs Texas - Florida vs Tennessee - LSU vs Auburn - Alabama vs Georgia - Tennessee vs Auburn - LSU vs Florida - Tennessee vs Georgia - Auburn at West Virginia - Georgia vs LSU - Florida vs Georgia - Auburn vs Alabama - Florida vs Florida State - Georgia Tech vs Georgia.
